Top: 2 x 50g (130m) balls of Rico Design Essential Cotton DK (100% cotton) in each of Curry (61), Orchid (9), Raspberry (11), Jade Green (47) and Pigeon Blue (35). 

Pair of 12mm knitting needles. 

Snood: 1 x 50g (130m) ball of Rico Design Essential Cotton DK (100% cotton) in each of Curry (61), Orchid (09), Raspberry (11), Jade Green (47) and Pigeon Blue (35). 

Pair of 15mm knitting needles; size 12.00 crochet hook. 

Tension

6 stitches and 7 rows, to 10 x 10cm, over lace pattern, using 12mm needles and one strand in each of all 5 shades together.

6 stitches and 7 rows, to 10 x 10cm, over stocking stitch, using 15mm needles and one strand in each of all 5 shades together.

Back and front (both alike) With 12mm needles and one strand in each of all 5 shades together, cast on 32 (34) (36) (38) sts.

1st row: K1, [p2tog, yrn] to last 3 sts, p2tog, yon, k1.

This row forms pattern.

Continue in pattern until work measures 27 (27) (28) (28) cm from beginning.

Mark each end of last row for side seam. Continue in pattern until work measures 40 (40) (42) (42) cm from beginning, ending with a wrong side row.

Now, work in gst until work measures 45 (45) (47) (47) cm from beginning, ending with a wrong side row. Cast off.

To make up

Beginning at side edge and working along cast-off edge, join first 7 (7) (8) (8) cm at each side for shoulder seams. Join sides from cast on edge to markers.

SNOOD

With 15mm needles and one strand in each of all 5 shades together, cast on 18 sts.

Work in ss until snood measures 140cm from beginning.

Cast off leaving a long end.

Place cast-on and cast-off edges with right sides together, then with 12.00 hook and using the attached yarn, work a row of double crochet through both layers to join.
