Knitting needles one pair each sizes US 7 and 9 (4.5 and 5.5 mm), crochet hook size US G-6 (4 mm).

Gauge: Diamond/Leaf Pat: 12 sts and 22 rows = approx 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm.
Back: With US 7 (4.5 mm) needles and double strand, cast on 74 sts and work in Rib Pat for 4"/10 cm. On last WS row inc 1 st = 75 sts. Change to US 9 (5.5 mm) needles and work in Diamond/Leaf Pat as foll: k1 (selvage st), beg with the 9 sts before the rep, work the rep 3 times, end with the 10 sts after the rep and k1 (selvage st). Cont as established until piece measures approx 24"/61 cm from beg. Bind off.
Front: Work same as Back until piece measures 21 1/2"/55 cm from beg. For the neck shaping bind the center 19 sts and working both sides at once, bind off from each neck edge 4 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st twice. When piece measures 24"/61 cm from beg bind off rem 18 sts each side for shoulders.
Sleeves: With US 7 (4.5 mm) needles and double strand, cast on 34 sts and work in Rib Pat for 4"/10 cm. On last WS row inc 5 sts evenly spaced = 39 sts. Change to US 9 (5.5 mm) needles and work in Diamond/Leaf Pat as foll: k1 (selvage st), beg with 9 sts before the rep, work rep once, end with 10 sts after the rep and k1 (selvage st). For the sleeve shaping inc 1 st each side every 10th row 5 times and every 8th row 4 times working inc sts into Pat = 57 sts. Work even until piece measures approx 18 1/2"/47 cm from beg. Bind off.
Finishing: Block pieces to measurements. Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. With RS facing and crochet hook, work 1 rnd sc and 1 rnd crab st (sc from left to right) evenly around neck edge.

Size: approx 15 x 31 1/2"/38 x 80 cm

Rib Pat, double strand: K2, P2 Rib.
Instructions: With US 9 (5.5 mm) needles and double strand, cast on 66 sts and work in Rib Pat for approx 31 1/2"/80 cm, then bind off. Sew narrow ends tog.
