Note: This yarn has been discontinued; substitute the DK weight wool or wool-blend yarn of your choice.

Needles

Size U.S. 6 (4 mm): 16" (40 cm) and 24" (60 cm) circular (cir) and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn).

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions

Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge 23 sts and 30 rnds = 4" (10 cm) in St st, worked in rnds.

Notes

This seamless sweater is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch to the lace lower border and sleeve cuffs.

Stitches for the cowl neck are picked up from the neck opening and worked in the round.

Collar

Note: The RS of the collar corresponds to the WS of the body so the RS of the collar's lace pattern will show on the outside when the collar is folded down; turn garment inside-out to make working the collar easier.

With shorter cir needle, WS of garment facing, and beg at center back neck, pick up and knit 96 (100, 104, 108, 112, 116) sts evenly spaced around neck opening (1 st for every CO st). Pm and join for working in rnds. Knit 1 rnd.

Next rnd: *Yo, k1; rep from *—192 (200, 208, 216, 224, 232) sts. Knit 1 rnd.

Work Rnds 1-8 of Engleside patt 5 times, then work Rnds 1-4 once more—44 chart rnds completed.
