Lana Grossa "Alta Moda Lace" 38% Merino Wool extrafine, 15% Super Kid Mohair, 30% Acrylic, 17% Nylon, yardage = 230 m/50 g) 300 (350) g off white (#102) and "Splendid" (72% Super Kid Mohair, 21% Nylon, 7% Polyester, yardage = 165 m/25 g) 200 (225) g beige/gold (#14).
Knitting needles, one pair each sizes US 9 and 10 1/2 (5.5 and 6.5mm), one short circular needle size US 9 (5.5 mm).
Rib Pat: K2, P2 Rib.
Garter st: Knit every row.
Mesh Pat: Over an even number of sts.
Row 1: K1 (selvage st), *yo, sl 1 st purlwise, k1; rep from Vend k1 (selvage st).
Row 2: K1, *k2, sl the yo purlwise (yarn lays behind the yo); rep from *, end k1.
Row 3: K1, *k next st and yo tog, yo, sl 1 purlwise; rep from *, end k1.
Row 4: K2, *sl yo purlwise (yarn lays behind the yo), k2; rep from *, end sl yo purlwise, k2.
Row 5: K1, *yo, sl 1 purlwise, k next st with yo tog; rep from *, end k1.
Rep rows 2-5.
Note: Pullover is worked with double strand = 1 strand each "Splendid" and "Alta Moda Lace" held tog, and is worked in one piece from front to back!
Gauge: Mesh Pat, with double strand and size US 10 1/2 (6.5mm) needles: 11 sts and 31 rows = 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Beg at lower edge of Front, with size US 101/s (6.5mm) needles and double strand, cast on 52 (56) sts and work in garter st for 2 rows. Cont in Mesh Pat until piece measures 5 1/2"/14 cm from beg. Work side and sleeve shaping as foll: Inc 1 st each side on next row, then every 8th row 7 times more = 68 (72) sts. Then for the sleeve, inc 1 st each side every 2nd row 4 times, then cast on 2 sts at beg of next 14 rows, 4 sts at beg of next 6 rows 5 sts at beg of next 4 rows = 148 (152) sts, working the inc sts into Mesh Pat. Work even until piece measures 19"/48 cm from beg. Work neck shaping as foll:
Next row (RS): Work 70 (72) sts, join 2nd ball of yarn and bind off center 8 sts loosely, work to end. Working both sides at once, dec 1 st at each neck edge every 2nd row 6 times = 64 (66) sts each side. Work even until piece measures 22"/56 cm from beg. This marks the shoulder line. For the back neck, cast on 20 sts at center and work over all 148 (152) sts, working the Back correspond to the front, reversing shaping by working bind offs and decreases for the sleeve and side shaping.
Finishing: For the sleeve borders, with RS facing and US 9 (5.5 mm) needles, pick up and k 34 sts evenly along lower edge of each sleeve. Work in Rib Pat for 4 3/4"/12 cm. Bind off sts in rib. For the collar, with RS facing and circular needle, pick up and k approx 60 sts evenly around neck edge. Join and work in Rib Pat for approx 8"/20cm. Bind off sts loosely in rib. Sew side and sleeve seams.
