Knitting Poncho

The oversized silhouette of this jacket fits from sizes Small to Large.
Materials: Lana Grossa "Soffilo" (40% Baby Alpaca, 38% Merino Wool, 22% Polyamide, yardage = 40 m/50 g) 650g dark gray heather (#4), 50 g cyclamen (#6).
1 long and one short circular needle size US 19 (15 mm).
A simple Stockinette stitch shows off the hand-dyed alpaca in Brigitte Reydams' Swing Cape. Artisan buttons mimic the vibrant tones of the yarn and textured mohair frames the cape.

Malania by Anniken Allis
This beautiful capelet by Anniken Allis is worked from the bottom up with a wide lace border. The crescent shape is achieved by working a combination of short rows and decreases. Anniken has designed this to feature a button to fasten the capelet in place around the shoulders, but if preferred, this can be worn as a shawl without the button.
The capelet has been knitted in Louisa Harding's striking Amitola, a 4ply blend of wool and silk that comes in self-striping colours.

"This on-trend poncho is perfect for layering on chilly spring days," says designer Anniken Allis. It's constructed from two knitted rectangles, joined along the shoulders and top of arms, with buttons at the lower edge. By knitting it sideways, the self-striping yarn from Noro will create vertical stripes, which emphasise the rippling lace pattern. Noro's Shiro yarn is a wonderfully tactile blend of wool, cashmere and silk, and comes in both subtle and bold colourways.
