MAKING UP
Press pieces lightly through a damp cloth. Join shoulder and side seams. Commencing at centre back neck and cast on end of frill, pin frill down right front and across front cast on, across back and left front cast ons, then up left front and across second part of back neck. Adjust length to fit. Cast off sts and sew two ends of frill together. Attach frill to garment using flat slip stitch as for a collar. Sew sleeve seams and set sleeves into armholes matching centre of sleeve head with shoulder seam and matching side seams.
Cut ribbon into 4 equal lengths and sew one piece to widest point of right front on wrong side of work. Attach second piece of ribbon to appropriate point on left front, adjusting to fit before securing. Repeat the process on the widest point of the left front but attach to right side of work and attach corresponding ribbon on right front to underside of work. Darn in all ends. Fold collar back.
