The elegant lines of the full-fashioned raglan armholes, the high stand-up collar and the shine of the mini sequins make this jacket a dream - and on top of that, it knits up so quickly!

Size: Medium

Materials: Lana Grossa

"Lace Paillettes" (45% Alpaca, 20% Wool, 15% Cotton, 15% Polyamide, yardage = 150 m/25 g) 150 g burgundy (#4).

"Tiffany" (64% Mohair, 26% Silk, 10% Polyamide, yardage = 110 m/25 g) 200g Blackberry (#6).

Knitting needles one pair size US 8 (5 mm), one circular needle size US 7 (4.5mm), crochet hook size US G-6 (4mm), one fur closure (from Prym).

Rib Pat: K1, P1 Rib.

Half Brioche Rib: (over an odd number of sts):

RS rows: K1 (selvage st), p1, *with yarn in front of work sl 1 st purlwise, bring yarn to back around needle to make a yo (called sl 1 st with yo), p1; rep from *, end k1 (selvage st).

WS rows: P1 (selvage st), k1, *p the next st tog with yo, k1; rep from *, end p1 (selvage st).

Full-Fashioned Double Dec:

at beg of row: k1 (selvage st), 1 brioche st, p1, SK2P = sl 1 knitwise, k2tog, pass sl st over k2tog;

at end of row: work to last 5 sts, k3tog, p1, 1 brioche st, k1 (selvage st). 

Note: always work with double strand = with 1 strand each "Lace Paillettes" and "Tiffany".

Gauge: Half Brioche Rib, double strand, with US 8 (5 mm) needles: 17 sts and 30 rows = approx 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm.

Back: With US 7 (4.5mm) needles and double strand, cast on 81 sts and work in Rib Pat for 4 rows = approx 1/2"/1.5 cm. Change to US 8 (5 mm) needles and cont in Half Brioche Rib until piece measures 13 1/2"/34 cm from beg. For the raglan armhole shaping, work next RS row as foll: p2tog, 1 brioche st, p1, SK2P, work to last 7 sts, k3tog, p1, 1 brioche st, p2tog. Then work full-fashioned double dec each side every 4th row 12 times and every 6th row. When piece measures 21"/54 cm from beg bind off rem 23 sts.

Left Front: With US 7 (4.5mm) needles and double strand, cast on 48 sts and work in Rib Pat for 4 rows. Change to US 8 (5 mm) needles and cont in Half Brioche Rib until piece measures 13 1/2"/34 cm from beg. Dec 3 sts each side on next RS row (same as Back) then work full-fashioned double dec each side every 4th row 11 times, at the same time, when piece measures 18"/46 cm from beg, bind off from neck edge (beg of WS row) 10 sts once, 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and dec 1 st every 2nd row 4 times.

Right Front: Work to correspond to Left Front, reversing all shaping.

Left Sleeve: With US 7 (4.5mm) needles and double strand, cast on 57 sts and work in Rib Pat for 4 rows. Change to US 8 (5 mm) needles and cont in Half Brioche Rib. For the sleeve shaping, inc 1 st each side every 4th row 3 times working inc sts into pat = 63 sts. Work even until piece measures 2 3/4"/7 cm from beg. For the raglan cap shaping, work decs at beg of RS rows same as Back, and at end of RS rows same as Front. For the neck shaping bind off at beg of WS rows 4 sts once, 2 sts once and dec 1 st every 2nd row 3 times. 

Right Sleeve: Work to correspond to Left Sleeve, reversing shaping at top of cap.

Finishing: Sew raglan sleeve caps into raglan armholes on front and back. For the collar, with RS facing, circular needle and double strand pick up and k 95 sts evenly around neck edge. Work in Half Brioche Rib for approx 8 1/2"/22 cm, then bind off. Fold collar in half to WS and sew in place. Sew ends of collar tog. Sew side and sleeve seams. With RS facing, crochet hook and double strand work 1 row sl st around outer front edge, including collar. Sew fur closure at lower, inner edge of collar on Left Front.
