Pattern Notes

Body is worked back and forth in rows. Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches; do not join.

Body is worked in 1 piece to the underarms, then back and fronts are worked separately to the shoulders. Each sleeve is worked in the round to the underarm, then sleeve cap is worked back and forth. Ruffled edgings are added to sleeve and cardigan edges; cardigan ruffle is shaped using short rows to be longer in back.

When shaping, work decreases as follows: Work k1, k2tog at beginning of right-side rows and ssk, k1 at end. Work p1, ssp at beginning of wrong-side rows and p2tog, p1 at end.

Work increases as follows: K1, M1L, knit to last stitch, M1R, k1.
