Knitted Chain Necklace

Knitted Chain Necklace

Argentite by Juliet Bernard

Elegantly simple chain-link necklace uses beads and a sparkling yarn for a subtle shimmer.

This chain-link necklace by Juliet Bernard is so quick to knit and elegant to wear. The yarn is used doubled throughout, using either one each of Rowan's Kidsilk Haze Eclipse and Lace (for the links) or two ends of the Lace together. You will have some yarn left over at the end of the project, so why not experiment by mixing the yarns and creating your own unique jewellery?

Clutch bag "Magic the Circus"

Clutch bag

THIS COLOURFUL clutch bag by Nicki Merrall is knitted in a variegated yarn, using seamless techniques. The front flap is made first, one hexagon at a time, with more hexagons joined on by picking up stitches. Once the front flap is complete, stitches are picked up round three sides of the flap to make a mitred facing. Stitches are then cast on and picked up along the remaining flap edge before the bag is knitted in the round, from the top down. The lower edges are joined using a three-needle cast-off. The bag is then completed by inserting a lining fabric and thick interfacing.
