HOW TO MAKE A GAUGE SWATCH
Ch 14.
Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *dc in next ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * across—13 sts.
Row 2 Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn; *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across.
Row 3 Ch 1, turn; sc in first dc, dc in next sc, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, sc in top of turning ch.
Rows 4-9 Repeat last 2 rows 3 times.

NOTES
1 Shawl is worked in two halves. The first half is worked from center back to side edge. The second half begins by working stitches across opposite side of foundation chain of first half and is worked to opposite side edge.
2 Length of shawl can be adjusted as desired by working more or fewer rows in each half. Take care to work the same number of rows in each half. A longer shawl may require more yarn.
