"Silkhair" (70% Mohair Superkid, 30% Silk, yardage = 210 m/25 g) 150 g each taupe (#35) and rose wood (#74).
"Lace Lux" ( 67% Viscose, 33% Wool, yardage = 310 m/50 g) 200 g taupe/silver heather (#40).
Crochet hook size US 7 (4.5mm).
5 buttons (Art. 451496, from Union Knopf).
Main Pat: Follow the crochet chart. The rep is shown between the arrows. Rep rows 1 - 8
Note: Work with 3 strands held tog = 1 strand each Taupe, Rose Wood and Taupe/Silver.
Gauge:
Main Pat, 3 strands: 16 sts and 4.5 rows = 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm.
Single crochet, 3 strands: 16 sts and 16 rows = 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm.
Back: Ch 85 plus 1 for turning. For the border, work 1 1/2"/4 cm in sc, working ch 1, turn at end of every row. Then cont in Main Pat. For the hip shaping dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 4 times. Work even until piece measures 14"/36 cm from beg. For the side shaping inc 1 st each side every 3rd row 2 times. Work even until piece measures 19 1/4"/49 cm from beg.
For the armhole shaping leave 4 sts each side unworked, then leave sts unworked every row as foll: 2 sts 3 times = 61 sts. Work even until piece measures 27"/69 cm from beg. For the shoulder shaping leave sts unworked each side 8 sts 2 times. When piece measures 27 1/2"/70 cm from beg, for the neck shaping leave the center 29 sts unworked and work both sides at once.
Left Front: Ch 37 plus 1 for turning and work 1 1/2"/4 cm in sc. Cont in Main Pat, working the hip, side, armhole and shoulder shaping at side edge (beg of RS rows) same as back, at the same time, when piece measures 16 1/2"/42 cm from beg, for the neck shaping, dec 1 st at neck edge (end of RS rows) on next row, then every 4th row 4 times and every 2nd row 4 times.
Right Front: Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping.
Sleeves: Ch 37 plus 1 for turning and work 1 1/2"/4 cm in sc. Cont in Main Pat, and for the sleeve shaping, inc 1 st each side every 3rd row 8 times = 53 sts. Work even until piece measures 17"/43 cm from beg. For cap shaping, leave 4 sts unworked each side, then leave 2 sts each side unworked every row 6 times and 4 sts once. When piece measures approx 23 1/2"/60 cm from beg, fasten off.
Left Front Band and Lapel: Ch 13 plus 1 for turning and work in sc for 16 1/2"/42 cm. At RH side (beg of RS rows), inc 1 st on next row, then every 4th row 7 times = 21 sts. When piece measures approx 27 1/2"/70 cm from beg, fasten off.
Right Front Band and Lapel: Work to correspond to left front band and lapel, reversing shaping and working 5 buttonholes (= over the center 3 band sts, ch 3, skip the center 3 sts). Work the first buttonhole at 1/2"/1.5 cm from lower edge, the last one just below first lapel inc, and the other 3 spaced evenly between.
Finishing: Sew shoulder seams. Sew on front bands and lapels. For the collar, with RS facing work sc evenly around neck edge and approx 2 1/2"/6 cm from lapel. Work in sc for approx 4 3/4"/12 cm. Fasten off. Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
