Crocheted Necklace



Crochet necklace. Use a simple, quick crochet technique to make a statement necklace. The yarn itself has a knotted character, which creates a beautiful 3-D effect. 

Size: Approx. 60 cm/24" long and 6 cm/2 1/2" wide

Materials: Schoeller + Stahl "Anya" (92% acrylic, 8% polyester, approx. 65 m/200 g): 200 g in Grey, col 12; size 12 mm Addi crochet hook; metal clasp in silver, 15 mm/5/8" in diameter (Walter Stockel); textile glue; sewing thread

Please note: Stitch names as used in the US.

Instructions: Ch 35, leaving a 20 cm/8" long tail.

Row 1: 1 sl st in each ch across, 1 sl st + 1 sc in last ch. Turn work.

Row 2: 1 sl st in each ch below row 1, 1 sl st + 1 sc in last ch below row 1. Turn work.

Row 3: Working under back loop only, work 1 sl st in each of next 5 sts, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, 1 dc in each of next 15 sts, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, 1 sl st in each of next 5 sts. Turn work.

Row 4: Working under back loop only, work 1 sl st in st across = 35 sl sts.

Ch 4, cut yarn and fasten off. With yarn tail at beg of work, ch 4 and fasten off.

Finishing: Pin piece to measurements and block with damp towels. Secure yarn ends with sewing thread. Glue yarn ends into cones of closure and let dry.
