Pullover

Size: Man's size Medium

Materials:

Lana Grossa "Alta Moda Cashmere" (80% Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, yardage = 90 m/50 g) 600g silver gray heather (#10). 

Knitting needles one pair each sizes US 10 and 11 (6 and 8mm), one short circular needle size US 10 (6mm).

Rib Pat: K2, P2 Rib.

Rev St st: Purl on RS rows, knit on WS rows.

Cable Pat over 37 sts: Foll the Chart.

Full-Fashioned Dec:

at beg of row: k1 (selvage st), p2, p2tog;

at end of row: work to last 5 sts, p2tog, p2, k1 (selvage st).

Full-Fashioned Inc: 

at beg of row: k1 (selvage st), M1 p (insert LH needle into horizontal strand between last st worked and next st on needle, p through back loop of strand);

at end of row: work to last 2 sts, M1 p, p1, k1 (selvage st). 

Gauge:

Rev St st with US 11 (8mm) needles: 13 sts and 21 rows = 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm. 

Cable Pat with US 11 (8mm) needles = approx 8 1/2"/22 cm wide. 

Back: With US 10 (6mm) needles, cast on 70 sts and work in Rib Pat for 2 3/4"/7 cm, and on last WS row inc 6 sts evenly spaced = 76 sts. Change to US 11 (8mm) needles and work in Rev St st until piece measures 18"/46 cm from beg. For the armhole shaping bind off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then work full-fashioned dec each side every 2nd row 4 times and every 4th row twice = 60 sts. Work even until armhole measures 9 1/2"/24 cm. For the shoulder shaping, bind off 6 sts at beg of next 6 rows, at the same time with the first shoulder dec, for the neck shaping, bind off the center 20 sts, and working both sides at once, bind off from each neck edge 1 st twice.

Front: With US 10 (6mm) needles, cast on 70 sts and work in Rib Pat for 2 3/4"/7 cm, and on last WS row inc 13 sts evenly spaced = 83 sts. Change to US 11 (8mm) needles and work in pats as foll: k1 (selvage st), 22 sts Rev St st, 37 sts Cable Pat, 22 sts Rev St st, k1 (selvage st). Work armhole and shoulder shaping same as back. Work even until piece measures 24"/61 cm from beg. For the neck shaping bind off the center 23 sts working k2tog twice over the cable sts, and working both sides at once, bind off from each neck edge 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

Sleeves: With US 10 (6mm) needles, cast on 34 sts and work in Rib Pat for 2 3/4"/7 cm. Change to US 11 (8mm) needles and cont in Rev St st. For the sleeve shaping work full-fashioned inc each side on the 9th row, then every 8th row 9 times = 54 sts. Work even until piece measures 18 1/2"/47 cm from beg. For the cap shaping, bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, work full-fashioned dec each side every 2nd row 11 times, then bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off rem 12 sts. 

Finishing: Sew shoulder seams. For neckband, with RS facing and circular needle pick up and k 60 sts evenly around neck edge and work in Rib Pat for approx 8 1/2"/22 cm, then bind off sts loosely. Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Hat

Head circumference 21-22"/54-56 cm

Materials:

Lana Grossa "Cool Wool Big" (100% Merino Wool extrafine, yardage = 120 m/50 g) 50 g dark gray heather (#617).

One set (5) double-pointed needles (dpn) size US 4 (3.5mm).

Rib Pat: K1, P1 Rib.

St st in rnds: Knit every rnd.

Gauge: 21 sts and 29 rows = approx 4 x 4"/10 x 10 cm

Instructions:

With dpn, cast on 96 sts, divide sts evenly over 4 needles = 24 sts per needle. Join to work in rnds, taking care not to twist sts. Work in Rib Pat for 3/4"/2 cm. Cont in St st until piece measures 8"/20 cm from beg. On next rnd *k1, k2tog; rep from * around = 64 sts. Knit 2 rnds. On next 2 rnds, k2tog around = 32 sts, then = 16 sts. Cut yarn and draw through rem sts. Pull tog tightly and secure end.
