To make up

With wrong sides together, using mattress stitch and Navy, join first 3 row-ends from each piece together, miss next 30 row-ends for handle and spout openings then join remaining row-ends with Pink. Neaten all ends.

To make pompom: Cut a length of card about 15 x 9cm. Wind Navy yarn around centre of card to desired thickness. With sharp scissors, cut yarn through all thicknesses on one side of card. Lay strands flat and tie them together securely around middle.Taking care not to cut ties, trim neatly to make a pompom of desired size. Use ends of tie to sew pompom to top of tea cosy.
