PATTERN NOTES

Beads must be threaded onto yarn before starting to crochet. Do this by threading a sewing needle with sewing thread as follows: Tie both ends of the sewing thread together with a tight knot. Place the yarn through the ring formed between the two ends. Use the needle to pick up the required number of beads and push them down the sewing thread onto the yarn.

Place WS together making sure matching colours sit over the top of finished edge, and sl st along edge of each side to secure.

Place Popcorn motif with WS facing into tube end, and dc to join at each end. Turn out so RS is now facing and insert bolster cushion. Work an invisible stitch along closing edge ensuring you leave enough space in order to remove and insert cushion.

TASSLES

Make two

Using a piece of card or notepad, approximately A5 size, wrap the yarn around lengthways until you are satisfied with the thickness (this will double when finished). Tie a piece of yarn through both ends. Cut across the yarn wrapped around the card through the middle at the front and back. Use one length of yarn to tie around the top of the tassel to form the "head", secure and fasten off. Thread approximately 14 beads on to yarn and stitch in and out of the tied piece at the head of the tassel for extra decoration. Attach to the centre of the bolster ends.
