Size G hook: 14 dc = 4 inches; 7 dc rows = 4 inches
Size H hook in shell pattern: 3 shells = 4 1/2inches; 5 rows = 4 inches

Waistband
With size G hook and chocolate milk, first foundation sc (see Special Stitches), work 69 [73,77,81] next foundation sc (see Special Stitches),join (see Pattern Notes) in first st being careful not to twist. (70 [74,78,82] sts)
Rnd 1: Ch 4 (see Pattern Notes), *sk 1, dc in next st, ch 1, rep from * to last st, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-4.
Rnds 2-7: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), dc in each st around, join in top of beg ch-3.
Sizes 6 & 8 0nly
Rnds [8 & 9]: Rep rnd 2.

Next rnd: Ch 3, dc in st at base of ch-3, dc in each st around, join in top of beg ch-3. (71 [75, 79,83] sts)

Shell Pattern
Rnd 1: With size H hook, ch 1, sc in same st as join, *sk next st, shell (see Special Stitches) in next st, sk next st, sc in next st* rep from * to last 3 sts, sk next st, shell in next st, join in first sc. (18 [19,20,21] shells, 18 [19,20,21] sc)
Rnd 2: With chocolate milk, ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), sc in same st as join, *ch 2, sk next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 2, sk next 2 dc, V-st (see Special Stitches) in next sc, rep from * to last shell, ch 2, sk next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 2, join in first chin beg ch-3.
Rnd 3: With lake, ch 1, sc in last sc, *shell in next V-st, sc in next sc, rep from * to last V-st, shell in last V-st, join in first sc.
[Rep rnds 2 and 3] 8 [10,12,14] times. Fasten off.
Tie
With lake and size H hook, work foundation sc until Tie is 38 inches long or desired length.
FINISHING
Using end of yarn, close the gap between first and last foundation sts and weave in end. Weave in other ends. Work Tie through sps of rnd 1 of Waistband.
