A 3 skeins of Cherub Collection DK from Cascade Yarns (55% nylon, 45% acrylic; 50 g; 190 yds) in color 13 (aqua)

B 1 skein of Candy Double Knitting from King Cole (80% acrylic, 20% nylon; 320 yds) in color 215 (variegated)

Size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook or size to obtain gauge

4 pink buttons with shanks, 1/2" diameter

1/2 yd of 1"-diameter elastic with ruffle trim (available at most craft and fabric stores) OR 1/2 yd of l"-diameter ribbon

Sewing needle and matching thread

Tapestry needle

YOKE

Beg at neckline with A, ch 59 (59, 65).

FLOWERS

(MAKE 1 WITH A AND 2 WITH B) 

Ch 4; join to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 10 sc in ring; join in first sc. 

Rnd 2: *Ch 4, (tr2tog, ch 4, sl st) in same sc, sl st in next 2 sc; rep from * another 3 times, ch 4, (tr2tog, ch 4, sl st) in same sc as last sl st, sl st in next sc; join in base of beg ch 4. Fasten off, leaving a 12" tail for sewing.

FINISHING

Using sewing needle and thread, sew buttons opposite button lps on bodice. Sew button to center of one B flower; using long tail, sew flower to lower-right front of sacque. For headband, cut ruffled elastic or ribbon 16 1/2 (17, 17 1/2)" long. Overlap ends 1/2" and sew tog. Place rem B flower over A flower, offsetting petals. Tack flowers tog and sew button to center; sew double flower to headband over seam.
