INSTRUCTIONS FOR FULL DESIGN

Cast on 31 stitches: purl 3 rows, knit 2 rows along the design. Along the knit length center the stitches at every 2 rows and decrease 2 stitches by taking 3 stitches in the middle together for 14 times. On the next row, cast off the remaining 3 stitches at once to finish.

HALF DESIGN

Cast on 31 stitches. While knitting as a full design, apply decreases for 6 times.

DESIGN WITH YARN NO. 10472

Make 8 full designs and 8 half designs. Half designs are knitted for neck brace and full designs for beret. Sew after placing them as shown in the sketch.

DESIGN WITH YARN NO. 3079

Make 10 full designs and 2 half designs. Half designs are used for beret; 4 full designs are used for neck brace and 6 full designs for beret. Sew the designs after placing them as shown in the sketch.

NECK BRACE

After preparing and sewing the designs, pick up 92 stitches from one side of neck brace. Work 2 rows of purl stitch with yarn no. 3079, 2 rows of knit with yam no. 10472, 2 rows of purl with yam no. 3079, and cast off the stitches at once to finish. Work the other side in the same way.

HAT

After placing and sewing the designs as shown in the sketch, pick up 110 stitches onto needle around hat with yam no. 10472. Work 2 rows of purl stitch with yam no. 3079, 2 rows of knit with yam no. 10472, 2 rows of purl with yarn no. 3079, and cast off the stitches at once to finish.
