Fairy-Slipper Shrug is a design from Kristen Hanley Cardozo worked in Willow Yarns’ Blossom, a worsted-weight Merino wool and silk blend. Sandi Prosser gave a fashion-forward European look to her Modesto design, which is knit in two coordinating shades of Pasea (solid and self-striping) from Plymouth Yarn Co. The front and back of the pullover are alike and feature a panel of Garter ribbing that slants into the neckline to form a funnel collar. For a more subtle effect, use just the solid-color yarn.

Lace Columns Dress is a figure-flattering design that uses Polaris from the Rozetti Yarns collection at Universal Yam. Polaris is a wool-blend yarn with a self-shading print that creates a stripe effect. The composition of the yarn includes a knitted strand of soft payettes (tiny sequins).
