Stitch Guide

Popcorn stitch (PC): 5 dc in specified st; drop lp from hook, insert hook from front to back in top of first dc made, insert hook in dropped lp and draw through, ch 1: PC made.

Instructions

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 1, turn.

Row 2 (RS): Sc in next 5 sc, *PC in next sc, sc in next 9 sts; rep from * across, end last rep with sc in last 5 (instead of 9) sts; ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in next 5 sc; *ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next 9 sc; rep from * across, end last rep with sc in last 5 sts; ch 1, turn.

Row 4: Sc in next 4 sts; *PC in next st, sc in ch-1 sp, PC in next st, sc in next 7 sts; rep from * across, end last rep with sc in last 4 (instead of 7) sts; ch 1, turn. 

Row 5: Sc in next 4 sc; *ch 1, sk next PC, sc in next st, ch 1, sk next PC, sc in next 7 sc; rep from * across, end last rep sc in last 4 sts; ch 1, turn.

Row 6: Sc in next 3 sts; *PC in next st, sc in ch-1 sp, PC in next sc, sc in ch-1 sp; PC in next sc, sc in next 5 sts; rep from * across, end last rep with sc in last 3 (instead of 5) sts; ch 1, turn.

Row 7: Sc in next 3 sc; *ch 1, sk next PC, sc in next st, ch 1, sk next PC, sc in next st, ch 1, sk next PC, sc in next 5 sts; rep from * across, end last rep with sc in last 3 (instead of 5) sts; ch 1, turn. 

Row 8: Rep row 4.

Row 9: Rep row 5.
