Stitch Guide

Popcorn stitch (PC): Work 5 dc all in specified st; drop lp from hook; insert hook from front to back in top of first dc worked; insert hook in dropped lp and draw lp through: PC made.

Front-post triple crochet (FPtr): YO twice; insert hook from front to back to front around post (vertical bar) of specified st; (YO and draw through 2 lps) 3 times: FPtr made.

Back-post triple crochet (BPtr): YO twice; insert hook from back to front to back around post (vertical bar) of specified st; (YO and draw through 2 lps) 3 times: BPtr made.

Instructions

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 3 (counts as first dc of following row), turn. 

Row 2 (RS): Dc in next 2 sc; *ch 2, sk 3 sc, (PC in next sc, ch 1) twice; sk 2 sc, dc in each of next 3 sc; rep from * across; ch 3, turn.

Row 3: BPtr around next st, dc in next st; *ch 3, sk 1 ch and 1 PC, 2 sc in next ch-1 sp; ch 3, sk PC and ch-2 sp, dc in next st, BPtr around next st, dc in next st; rep from * across, ending last rep with dc in top of turning ch; ch 3, turn.

Row 4: FPtr around next st, dc in next st; *ch 2, sk 3 chs, PC in next sc; ch 1, PC in next sc, ch 1, sk 3 chs, dc in next st, FPtr around next st, dc in next st; rep from * across, ending last rep in top of turning ch; ch 3, turn.
