Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 3 (counts as first dc of following row), turn.

Row 2 (RS): Dc in next 2 sts; *sk 2 sc, shell in next sc, sk 2 sc, dc in next 3 sc; rep from * across, ch 3, turn. 

Row 3: Dc in next 2 dc; *ch 2, sc in center ch-1 sp of next shell, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc; rep from * across, ch 3, turn.

Row 4: Dc in next 2 dc; *ch 2, shell in next sc, ch 2, dc in 3 dc; rep from * across, ch 3, turn.
