Row 2: Sc in first dc; *shell in next ch-2 sp, sk next dc, sc in next dc, sk next dc; rep from * across, ending last rep with sk last dc, sc in top of turning ch; ch 4, turn.

Row 3: *Sk first dc of shell, dc in each of next 3 dc of shell, sk last dc of shell, ch 2; rep from * across, ending last rep with ch 1 (instead of ch 2), tr in last sc; ch 3, turn.
