V-stitch (V-st): Work (dc, ch 2, dc) all in same ch or st: V-st made.

Double triple crochet (dtr): YO 3 times, insert hook in specified st or sp and draw up a lp; (YO and draw through first 2 lps on hook) 4 times: dtr made.

Instructions

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook; *sk 3 chs, V-st in each of next 2 chs; sk 3 chs, sc in next ch; rep from * across, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in first sc; *in next ch-2 sp work (dtr, 3 dc); in next ch-2 sp work (3 dc, dtr); sc in next sc; rep from * across; ch 7 (counts as a tr and ch-3 sp on following row), turn.

Row 3: Sk first 4 sts, sc in each of next 2 dc; *ch 7, sk 7 sts, sc in each of next 2 dc; rep from * to last 4 sts, ch 3, sk 3 sts, tr in last sc; ch 1, turn.

Row 4: Sc in first tr; *V-st in each of next 2 sc, sc in ch-7 lp; rep from * across; end with sc in 4th ch of ch-7 turning ch; ch 1, turn.

Rep rows 2-4 for patt. After last rep, end by working row 2.
