Shell: (Dc, ch 1, dc) in specified st or sp: shell made.

Cluster (CL): (YO, insert hook in specified st and draw up a lp to height of a dc) 4 times; YO and draw through all 9 lps on hook: CL made. 

Instructions 

Work beg ch with color A. 

Row 1 (RS): With color A, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in each sc; at end of row, finish off color A.

Row 3 (RS): With right side facing you, join color B with si st in first sc at right; ch 4 (counts as a dc and ch-1 sp), sk next sc, shell in next sc; *sk next 2 sc, shell in next sc; rep from * to last 2 sc, sk next sc, dc in last sc. Finish off color B; do not turn. 

Row 4 (RS): With right side facing you, join color C with si st in 3rd ch of ch-4 at right; ch 4 (counts as a dc and ch-1 sp); *CL in ch-1 sp of next shell, ch 2; rep from * across to last shell, CL in last shell, ch 1, dc in dc. Finish off color C; do not turn. 

Row 5 (RS): With right side facing you, join color A in 3rd ch of ch-4 at right; ch 1, sc in same st; sc in next ch-1 sp; *sc in CL, 2 sc in ch-2 sp; rep from * across to last CL, sc in CL, sc in ch-1 sp, sc in dc; ch 1, turn.
