Front-post triple crochet (FPtr): YO twice; insert hook from front to back to front around post (vertical stem) of specified st and draw up a lp; (YO and draw through 2 lps) 3 times: FPtr made.

Instructions

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 4 (counts as first tr of following row), turn.

Row 2: FPtr around next sc; *sk next 2 sc, tr in next sc, ch 1; working in front of tr just made, tr in first skipped sc, FPtr around each of next 2 sc; rep from * across; ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in each st and in each ch-1 sp across; ch 4, turn.

Row 4: FPtr around post of next FPtr 2 rows below; *sk next 2 sc, tr in next sc, ch 1; working in front of tr just made, tr in first skipped sc, FPtr around each of next 2 FPtr 2 rows below; rep from * across; ch 1, turn.

Row 5: Rep row 3.
