Knitting for women Knitting Bolero Kid mohair-silk lace shrug

Kid mohair-silk lace shrug

Shrug knitting pattern

Shrug is worked from side to side, flat, then the sleeves are seamed and stitches are picked up around the body for the ribbed edging, which is knitted in the round. This is a garment designed to float on you and is designed to have a lot of positive ease in the width of the garment. Please note that chart shows RS rows only - WS rows are purled.

TIP "For the rib border of the shrug it's really important to use a cast off that has a lot of elasticity to it so that the rib has sufficient give in it to form the collar and welt of the shrug"
