KNITTING STYLE: Knit, purl, 1+1 rib, cable design, slip stitch, puff stitch with hook 

BACK and FRONT PIECES

BOTTOM PIECE: Work the front and back pieces separately in the same way.

Cast on 144 stitches. Set up the stitches as purl 11; yarn over to the back of needle; take 1 stitch onto needle without knitting; yarn over to the front of needle; purl 15, knit 3, purl 10, knit 3, purl 15; yarn over to the back of needle; take 1 stitch onto needle without knitting; yarn over to the front of needle; purl 5, knit 3, purl 10, knit 3, purl 5; yarn over to the back of needle; take 1 stitch onto needle without knitting; yarn over to the front of needle; purl 15, knit 3, purl 10, knit 3, purl 15; yarn over to the back of needle; take 1 stitch onto needle without knitting; yarn over to the front of needle; purl 11. Apply the diagram to those stitches worked as knit 3, purl 10, knit 3.

When body length is 22 cm, cast off at once those stitches worked as purl 15, knit 3, purl 10, knit 3, purl 15. Knit the remaining 52 stitches as 1 row of purl stitch and hold them on needle. After knitting the other side in the same way, transfer the stitches onto fish-line needle for yoke.

TOP PIECE: Increase 52 stitches for front piece, 40 stitches for sleeve, 52 stitches for back piece, 40 stitches for sleeve; continue with 184 stitches as purl stitch in circular rows. After knitting 2 rows, decrease 1 stitch each at both sides of those stitches increased for armhole to drop to 180 stitches. When body length is 4 cm, center the front piece stitches for neck opening and continue knitting with 176 stitches with straight needles after decreasing 4 stitches In the midst.

On the next row: decrease 14 times 1 stitch at every 15 stitches; knit 2 rows; decrease 10 times 1 stitch at every 15 stitches; knit 4 rows; decrease 18 times 1 stitch at every 6 stitches; knit 4 rows; decrease 22 times 1 stitch at every 4 stitches; knit 4 rows; decrease 27 times 1 stitch at every 2 stitches; knit 2 rows; cast off the remaining 85 stitches at once to finish.

Pick up 132 stitches onto needle from hem; knit 1 cm of 1 +1 rib, and cast off the stitches at once to finish. While applying the diagram in the center around the hem, work puff stitch with hook in the middle of diamonds formed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOW-TIE: Cast on 6 stitches; work 6 cm of knit stitch and finish. Give a bow-tie form by tying In the middle. Knit 2 pieces. Sew the stitches decreased on body pieces in form of pleats and sew the bow-ties onto such pleats.

HOOD: Cast on 106 stitches. Knit 23 cm of purl stitch, and cast off the stitches at once. After sewing to each other those places numbered as No. 1 in the sketch, sew those places of No. 2 around collar.

COLLAR: Pick up 148 stitches on needle around neck opening and hood. Knit 1 cm of 1+1 rib and cast off the stitches at once to finish.

SLEEVE RIBS: Pick up 44 stitches from cuffs; knit 1 cm of 1+1 rib, and cast off the stitches at once to finish.
